Rules of the Game
Monday, April 30, 2012
Earlier this week, I spent the evening at my grandson’s baseball practice. It was interesting to watch these 5 and 6 year olds learn the basics of the game. Several of them seemed to understand the concept, either from playing ball the year before or from having someone work with them at home.
As I’m watching the coach work with these young boys, it makes me think of how we work with our clients. For some of our clients, the process comes easy, for others it requires a bit more guidance and instruction. The end goal is the same, to save tax dollars and help manage the cost of healthcare. Once everyone learns the rules of the Section 105 HRA, successfully saving on healthcare expenses becomes easy.
If you are self-employed and looking for a way to save an additional $4,000 in tax dollars, contact a BASE® Benefit Specialist to see if you qualify for the BASE® HRA. BASE® will coach you through all the steps and provide you with the documentation you need to establish this IRS approved plan.
